This is what I saw this morning when I woke up, first snow! It snowed through the whole night... Lucky me that I work from home! I made myself a cup of tea, turned on the radio and I'm ready to work on a new project. It's a book by the famous Astrid Lindgren called Lotta says 'NO'! I must say that I am VERY pleased. I have a lot to be pleased about work related:) In only three weeks I have participated in two beautiful exhibitions that are all about illustration and illustrators and an article about my work with lots of images was published in a Hungarian magazine (the whole issue is only about illustration!!) So you know that feeling when you wonder sometimes is it all worth it? These days, I think definitely YES;)
A very famous children books publisher here in Serbia, Creative center is celebrating 20 years since there first edition! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! So they made this lovely catalog in the honor of all the illustrators who have worked with them since. I'm very lucky to be among them:)) Also there was an exhibition of our work at the Museum of Applied Arts in Belgrade.

The whole issue was about illustration and illustrators. I was very lucky to be chosen and presented as one of the leading illustrators of younger generation here in Serbia:)
After experimenting with magnets and stickers I decided to go a bit further. The next logical step are pillowcases with my illustrations embroidered in them:) I have to say THANK YOU to my mother who is the one behind all the stitching and sewing! These new goodies will be presented and on sale in the exhibition called Moda za kucu (Houseware fashion) in Kulturni centar GRAD, Brace Krsmanovic 4, that isopening tonight 1. December at 20:00 and will be held until 11. December here in Belgrade. Be sure to come and see what 50 different designers have to offer for your home!!

I haven't been blogging lately, which means that I've been very busy. These ballerinas were an order from France, more about that soon. As I've said many times before, it's a fantastic feeling knowing that your work is appreciated all around the world:) Bon voyage my dears!
I'm so happy and proud to say that I have finally done something that I had in mind a long time... I made fridge magnets with my illustrations and comments and a series with those retro photos that I love so much:) In about ten days I hope to get them in stores, in the mean time you can get them by e mailing me. Also, that is just the beginning of new stuff from my little workshop, keep checking in for more to come soon;)
Illustrations for the new issue of TRIP (it should be out now!) Again I was to do three characters: gourmand, sporty and sexy. I'm most pleased with the outcome of first two:)
In the new addition of Sensa magazine Jana Orsolic wrote an article about Moda za poneti (Fashion to go) a manifestation that I think everyone in Belgrade knows aboutby now . Of course she did an interview with Ljudmila Stratimirovic as the orgaznizer of the event and four of us lucky ones that participate with different designs. I'm very flattered. Thank you Jana:)* The new Moda za poneti will be held the upcoming weekend, 10. and 11. October in Kuulturni centar Grad, Brace Krsmanovic 4 Be sure to come, I'll be there with the new fall collection!
The big book project is finally finished! I'm very pleased with the way it turned out. Now I just have to be patient and wait for it to be published. Easier said then done though:)
So, to be honest I wasn't really in the mood for posting last few weeks because I was working on a big project. It's a book of funny, witty stories about a king and his kingdom. This is just a peek, more stuff soon;)
Finally that day is here, I'm going on my holiday to Greece. The sun, the sea, the sand...A lot of stuff has been going on these past few weeks, but the biggest thing is me changing my flat which also means taking my whole work place with me:) Anyway, although it was fun and exciting, it's was also very tiring and exhausting and now I REALLY need to not do anything for a few weeks!
