Troubled

The reason of me neglecting this blog of mine is that I have so much to do each day, that sometimes I'm just dead tired. Plus all three of us had some kind of a cold so that didn't help either. Anyway, here is something I did a while ago but just forgot to share it with you guys. It's a poem by Jovan Jovanovic Zmaj, one of the best Serbian poets for kids!

Toys for my boy

Finally! Here they are, Vasa's new friends, a rabbit and a cat, made especially for him. My husband says that Vasa is a very lucky kid to have a mom that makes toys just for him:) I wonder what will Vasa say when he gets a bit older;)

Being busy

So, I have been terribly busy working on two new projects, plus making some toys for Vasa. I'm not ready to show you the book that I've been working on just yet. Soon, I promise. In the meantime, here is a photo of me and Vasa on our way to lunch:)

September, another school year is here

It appears that autumn is here. Vasa is now 5 and a half months old and asking for attention. He is usually beside me while I work, we talk to each other and listen to music:) That lasts about 20 minutes and then he wants all of my attention on him:D So I balance, what else can I do? And I take pictures of him, almost every day:)

Ever since Vasa was born, I had this idea of doing a couple of illustrations especially for him and framing them above his bed. So I finally got around to it and did 14 of them:D Now I have to make a choice, which is always a problem for me. Anyway, although I'm very pleased with these two, they haven't made the cut. The others, I will show you soon.

Doodle time

Felt inspired last night, so I picked up a black marker and started to draw. It felt good, like the old days:) I have a few ideas what to make of these. I will show you after I'm done.

Inspiration is everywhere...

This afternoon as I was on my way to have the best coffee in town I took a few photos of two store windows and a logo for a new pizza place. All sorts of things can inspire me to work. So as I was sipping my coffee, I thought about projects ahead:)

New challenges:)))

It may still be summer but the "Školarac"chief editor and a dear friend of mine had to prepare the September issue so it is all done and ready for kids when they start school again:) Here are some illustrations that I did for them. Also, as I made this blog of mine quite personal, here is a photo of something else that I have been trying out lately. Baking! Mmmm, I love sweets, always have. And now when I'm a mom, I've decided that it's about time to take upon another challenge, in the kitchen!

Ok, so I have decided to share my big news with the world. I haven't been posting for a very long time and there is a big reason for it. This gorgeous little creature has been the center of my world for the last four months:) This is my son Vasa!
